Entercom Portland Radio Stations and Bank of America raise over $50,000 in 3 business days for Red Cross
Katrina relief effort from all Portland/SW Washington Bank of America “Donation Stations” set for long haul
PORTLAND, Ore. – September 2, 2005 – Entercom Portland, in conjunction with Bank of America and the American Red Cross have raised over $50,000 in 3 business days to assist the recovery in the southern United States.
All Portland and Vancouver area Bank of America Banking Centers are now accepting donations that will go directly to the relief effort underway. When making a donation, people are asked to reference the “American Red Cross Disaster Fund.”
“It's a great start,” said Erin Hubert, VP/GM of Entercom Portland. “There has been an outpouring of generosity in our communities here in the United States and all over the world. We want to keep that momentum going so people can rebuild their lives faster.”
“We're averaging close to $17,000 a day in donations,” said Rich Brown, Bank of America SVP and market development manager. “In light of the holiday weekend, we are encouraged by the response so far...and we're looking forward to great long-term success from this campaign so that people affected can get the funds they need immediately.”
